For three days only, September 6,7 and 8, 2013 at 8pm, the Public Theater will present an original, musical version of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park….and it’s *FREE*.
Over 206 community members from around the five boroughs of NYC will join seasoned actors such as Norm Lewis and Laura Benanti in this musical extravaganza by Todd Almond.
See 106 Ensemble Community Members, 32 Gospel Choir Singers, 24 Ballet Dancers, 12 Mexican Tap Dancers, 10 Hip-Hop Dancers, 5 Brass Band Players, 1 Bubble Artist and many others in this one-of-a kind performance!
Two ways to get tickets:
1. In the Park
Tickets are distributed at 12pm on the day of each performance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Each person in line may receive up to 2 tickets. Be sure to get on line EARLY, as tickets are limited. For more information, click here.
2. Virtual Ticketing
Tickets are distributed daily via the Virtual Ticketing drawing. You may register for 2 tickets the day of the performance you wish to attend, and winners will be selected at random at 12pm. For instructions and more details, click here.
