Buy Your Tickets: Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Hals: Masterpieces of Dutch Painting from the Mauritshuis at the Frick Collection

On it’s final leg of a global tour, fifteen masterpieces usually not accessible to New York art lovers (in fact, some that have not traveled in nearly thirty years) from the Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis in The Hague, the Netherlands will be on display at the Frick Museum starting Tuesday, October 22, 2013. These masterful artworks, created during the Dutch Golden Age, include favorites such as “Girl with a Pearl Earring” (c. 1665) by Johannes Vermeer and Carel Fabritius’s Goldfinch (1654). 

Timed tickets are required, and are included in paid museum admission of $10-$20. Pay what you wish on Sunday morning will still be applicable to the exhibit (without the need for timed tickets), but there is NO GUARANTEE of admission.  Click HERE to purchase tickets.

Once a year, artists working in the former factories and warehouses in Gowanus, Brooklyn invite the public to view their work and talk about how their art is processed. This weekend, over 200 artist studios will welcome visitors on this self-guided *FREE* tour. Keith Haring: All Over

Iconic artist Keith Haring not only did chalk drawings on subway station walls and city streets in the early 1980’s, but he left his mark on everything he touched. From every day items to clothing, furniture and even the skin of other artists, Keith Haring painted his signature. This installation includes those items along with photographs, videos, a jacket worn by Madonna and many other displays of his extraordinary art work as well as his collaborations with  other artists such as Bill T.
