NYC Marathon Race Week Events and Expo: October 26, 2015-November 1, 2015
The NYC Marathon is on November 1, 2015, and even if you’re not running, there are plenty of ways that spectators and amateur runners can participate. Go out and cheer on the runners…it’s an AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND NOT TO BE MISSED!

The TCS NYC Marathon, a 26.2 mile race that starts in Staten Island, ends at Tavern on the Green in Central Park, and goes through all 5 boroughs of New York City is always a thrill for both spectators and runners alike. Here’s an overview of the NYC Marathon http://www.tcsnycmarathon.org/
In its 45th year, and considered the largest in the world, the TCS NYC Marathon will have over 45,000 runners from around the world, and is exciting, inspirational, thrilling and always a PARTY!
As in the past, this year, along the course there will be over 130 bands and entertainment zones to cheer on the runners/non-runners alike. Additionally, the days leading up to the marathon on November 1, 2015 are filled with activities…here are some:
*NYRR Youth Jamboree October 24, 2015 9am at the Armory Track, 216 Fort Washington Ave
*Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff October 25, 2015 at 8:30am in Central Park
New York City Marathon Health and Fitness Expo October 29, 2015-October 31, 2015. See schedule for times *FREE*
Jacob Javits Center, 35th St and 11th Ave
Marathon Opening Ceremony, Parade and Fireworks October 30, 2015 Central Park, Enter at Central Park West and 66th St, 5:30pm-7pm
All are welcome to the NYC Marathon Opening Ceremony, a highlight of the weekend festivities that will include a Parade of Nations with delegates from more than 75 countries, entertainment, topped off by a spectacular fireworks display. Grandstand seating is first come, first serve and is available starting at 4pm.
Dash to the Finish Line 5K October 31, 2015 at 8:30am. Begins at 47th St between 1st and 2nd Ave and ends in Central Park
