Edith Wharton’s New York City: A Backward Glance

Edith Wharton’s New York City celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Pulitzer Prize-winning author who wrote The House of Mirth and The Age of Innocence. This exhibition will reveal for the first time the intimate links between Wharton’s world and the Society Library, and will showcase family photographs and books. 38th Annual Macy’s Flower Show Through April 7, 2012 **FREE**
For the first time outside the Herald Square Store, Brazil-Gardens in Paradise is being held in a 5000 sq ft, block long tent, across the street on the Broadway Plaza. Enjoy a rainforest, rooftop and town settings filled with music, Hollywood style lighting and thousands upon thousands of flowers. Inside the store, you’ll find specialty gardens, including a special Gucci garden. Open during store hours.

Central Park Tennis Court permits are now available
The tennis facility features 26 newly re-conditioned Har-tru courts, 4 hard courts, professional tennis instruction available, a fully equipped Pro-Shop, a snack bar and locker room facilities. Located mid park in the mid 90′s). Permits are available at the Arsenal Building 64th St and 5th Ave in Central Park -see above for directions. Permits are $200 for adults, $20 seniors, $10 juniors.

After receiving their Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees from Juilliard, Peter and William have performed together at top venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Blue Note, Birdland, the Village Vanguard, the David Koch Theater, London’s 100 Club, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and in Scotland, Japan, and Costa Rica. They are also featured on the soundtrack “Boardwalk Empire Volume 1: Music From The HBO Original Series” w/ Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks, which just won a 2012 Grammy Award.
